A joint meeting with the West Metro Republican Women and the Capital City Republican Women will take place Aug. 9 at the Lexington Municipal Center on Maiden Lane. This is the newer administration building for the Town of Lexington, behind the Court House.
We will start at our usual time, 6 p.m., and we are thrilled to have our own Nikki Haley as our special guest.
Be sure to come and bring guests, as this will be a terrific meeting for potential members to attend! Men, you are welcome to come as always.

Each year, the Beaufort Republican Women's Club sponsors an essay contest for middle school students in Northern Beaufort County. The essay theme is "What the Constitution Means to Me." This year, three students were the recipients of a $100 U.S. Savings Bond, a scholastic medal, special recognition from the State of South Carolina, and a personal congratulatory letter from Rep. Joe Wilson.
State Rep. Shannon Erickson presented the awards to Taylor Jones, Illyona Johnstone and Elizabeth Peeples. Cris Steele, from the office of Joe Wilson, and Susan Dickson, president of the Beaufort Republican Women's Club, assisted Shannon in the presentation before the Beaufort County Council. Many members of the BRWC were in attendance. Congratulations to these fine students.
