Statewide Membership Drive

The SCFRW announced a statewide Membership Drive contest that is open to all current members (and members who join between now and May 31).

When: The Membership Drive will run from Feb. 7 to May 31

Who: All local club members are asked to participate (the contest is individual-based)

Definition: A new member is a woman who becomes a full member of the club (the membership is counted when the dues are paid).
A renewal is a former member who rejoins the club. We are looking for all the renewals we can get, but renewals will not count toward new membership recruits for the purposes of this contest.

Prize: The local club member (in the state) who recruits the most new members (not renewals), five or more, will win a beach weekend in beautiful Garden City, SC! (Prize sponsored by Denise Jones, member of Capital City RW, and owner of a travel business.)

Prizes will be awarded at the June 20 SCFRW board meeting. Your president can pick up your prize, if you are not in attendance and your name is drawn.

Details: This contest is for individual local club members. Each member who recruits a member will have her name entered into a drawing (1-2 recruits and a 3-4 recruits basket). For those members recruiting five or more, her name will be entered into a special drawing, and the member who recruits the most new members over five will win the beach weekend (in the case of a tie, the winner's name will be drawn--only one beach weekend prize is available).

Your local club president or membership chairman will keep a spreadsheet with the names of members who recruit members and how many they have recruited. Your president will send the spreadsheet to LaDonna Ryggs by June 5. You will have the opportunity to win a prize even if you don't reach the five recruits level.

You may send the spreadsheet electronically with name of recruiter, name(s) of recruits (and number), and local club to lryggs@bju.edu or LaDonna Ryggs, 137 Marcie Rush Lane, Greer SC 29651.

Ladies--go for it! Recruit away and let's see who gets the Get-a-Way. Good luck!
